Problem. The client boots and works correctly, but the following message appears: DHCP renewal on interface_name failed. Verification: DHCP is working, but dhcpagent cannot contact the server to extend the lease.
#2 This example assumes that the DHCP range is 192.168.113.100 - 192.168.113.149 (Starting IP = 192.168.113.100, number of users = 50) If this is not the DHCP range, it would help to know what it is. #3 Do not have the third router connected to the any other router. Re: DHCP Snooping problem Hi All, So I have been battling both of the DHCP snooping bugs and although v16.9.1 fixed the Ether-Channel issue I am still seeing the other issue that starts up every few days to a week where users are unable to get an address from the DHCP server. If “DHCP is not enabled for Local Area Connection” is displayed following the scan, you will have the option to fix this issue. Select “try these repairs as an administrator.” Note that if you do not have administrator access, you will need to obtain it or allow the network administrator to finish the troubleshooting. DHCP is not enabled means y our wireless access point is not running as a DHCP server, then it will not give an IP address, and you can’t access to the Internet. Note: In most home and small companies, your router acts as the DHCP server. So it’s recommended to enable DHCP.
If your DHCP server is unreachable, misconfigured, or has no available IP addresses left in its DHCP address pool, clients will not be able to receive a DHCP lease and the following message will appear in the Meraki Event log:
